formulate custom shampoo review
hello everyone. this post is kind of a long one, but worth it, so bear with me.

so my shampoo and conditioner FINALLY came in and i’m excited to talk to you about it! i’ve only been using it for a month or so, and as you know i only wash my hair once a week, so as for long term use – i don’t have a verdict, but i would love to share my experience so far.

ingredients
i’m not going to list ALL of the ingredients because it would be super long, but here are a few of the important ingredients that are in my shampoo and conditioner.
polyquaternium-37
this provides hair conditioning composition and is great for providing volume to fine hair.
vitamin e
this will help protect my hair and scalp while also improving hair growth, scalp circulation, and balance oil production.
wheat germ oil
this is very nourishing and moisturizing and also helps protect against environmental stresses.
yeast extract
this helps hair become more manageable so it’s easy to style and comb. it also doesn’t clog pores or the scalp!
review
so now that we know what i needed and what mine contain, let’s get on with my thoughts!
first of all, it smells AMAZING! you can pick your scent too, which i thought was super great. the consistency of the shampoo was really weird to me at first because it wasn’t as thick as my normal shampoo and conditioner. i’m assuming this is because of the ingredients that mine contain. it wasn’t an issue or anything, it was just so weird to get used to at first.
i also had to use quite a bit, which again is fine, but i wasn’t used to it. in the directions, it says to use 4 pumps! it sounded like a lot and felt like a lot at first, but it was totally the right amount. i let my hair naturally dry, because that’s how i normally do it and i didn’t want to change my routine for this review. i also did use my kenra leave in conditioner for the ends of my hair because i wanted to see how it worked with my fav products.
this shampoo and conditioner made my hair super shiny and also gave it an extra touch of volume! which is exactly what i needed because i have super thin/flat color treated hair. so i am really excited about that. it also didn’t strip any of the semi-permanent dye i have in my hair, which was great because i was a bit nervous it wouldn’t give me the proper color protection i needed. so, soft/shiny hair, volume, and smells amazing – i consider that a win!
i can’t wait to keep using this over the course of a few more months to see the long term effects of my hair! so far, i’m super super pleased with it. i feel so good knowing EXACTLY what ingredients i’m putting on my hair and how each ingredient is helping the overall quality of my hair.
