the best clean beauty brands
finally! it’s here. i’m sharing with you my favorite clean beauty brands. i’ve been working on transitioning my beauty products, household products, and clothing to more sustainable and clean brands. it’s been a process, to say the least, but i think it’s important. once i started researching the ingredients that were in all of the products i was using, i was SHOCKED. i can’t believe these products and brands aren’t regulated more. especially when they are directly touching your skin!
i read somewhere (i think, idk, coulda been anywhere) that your body can absorb like 70% of what you put on your skin. so BRO, i do not want harmful junk seeping into my skin and body. maybe i’m just paranoid and a hypochondriac, but it can’t hurt to want to be using products that are on the cleaner side.
i struggle with acne, so when it comes to makeup and skincare, it can be really hard to navigate. i do believe that not all “natural” ingredients are good for your skin, but not all synthetic ingredients are bad for your skin either. it’s about finding the right balance!
there are so many amazing brands out there, but these are just a few of the ones that i’m currently loving. again, i struggle with acne, and not one of these products has caused me to breakout. i swear my skin is SO sensitive too. so if they’re working for me, i bet they’d work for you too! if you also struggle with your skin.
ok, i’ll stop babbling. leggo.

ilia
to say i’m obsessed with ilia is an understatement. i’ve been using their concealer, mascara, eyebrow gel, multi-stick (blush, eyeshadow, lip), and super serum skin tint. every single product is amazing! one of my favorite things about this brand is that they mix skincare and makeup. i wish more makeup brands did this!!! your skincare and your makeup should be going hand in hand. you can’t have a dope makeup routine if your skin/skincare is lacking and vice versa. their super serum skin tint changed my life! it has spf 40 and is the perfect light layer of coverage for the summer months. i’m also so in love with their concealer, it’s SO creamy and has the perfect amount of coverage without looking cakey. their entire brand has the whole “no makeup, makeup” look on point!
alima pure
i did an entire review on alima pure a few months back. you can check that out > here <. they’re such a great brand if you struggle with your skin! and honestly their powders are unlike any other! ESPECIALLY their finishing powder. i don’t think i’ve ever used a better makeup powder in my entire life. it looks sooooo airbrushed! if you want to know more about my thoughts on their other products, you can check out my blog post solely on their products.
public goods
i also did a review on public goods > here <. so i won’t say too much about their products in detail, but i am obsessed. their shampoo and conditioner is EVERYTHING. it makes my hair soooo soft! i also am in love with their body wash and lotion. having a body wash and lotion that isn’t filled with harmful chemicals was super important to me. i mean, you’re directly applying those products to your skin… and potentially sensitive areas on your body. i also LOVE that you can get refills for all of your products! it saves you money and the environment. pubic goods is such an amazing brand all around and i cannot applaud them enough for all of the positive work they are doing to help the environment with sustainability. oh! they also have great toothpaste if you’re looking for a more natural toothpaste.
i haven’t used a product from them that i don’t love. on top of their beauty products, their household cleaning products are also amazing. i don’t think i could live without their cleaning sprays or their laundry detergent. to be honest, i’m pretty sure we’ve replaced 99% of all of our household cleaning items with public goods. ok, i’m done rambling about this company because i could go on for days with how much i love them.
acure
the only thing i’ve tried from this brand so far is their dry shampoo – which i love! i used to be a die-hard fan of the batiste dry shampoo. like ride or DIE! but… i know it’s filled with a few toxic ingredients. i had heard great things about acure and they weren’t wrong! all around just a great dry shampoo. i don’t think there’s too much more i can say about it. i know they have shampoo and conditioner as well, but i have yet to try them out!
farmacy
ok, basically all of my skincare is slowly transitioning over to farmacy and i’m not mad about it. i’m currently using their makeup removing cleansing balm, deep sweep 2% bha toner, and their eyecream. i will say, their eyecream is a bit on the pricey side, so i’m not sure if i will re-purchase, but i just started using it so i can’t say for sure yet how i like it. their cleansing balm is so so so good, though. SO GOOD. it doesn’t irritate my skin at all and doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily or gross. i also love their bha toner. it doesn’t strip or skin or leave it irritated either! i have very sensitive skin, like i’ve mentioned, so i’ve always stayed away from toners, but this one is superb! love this brand overall!
versed
i’ve only used one product from this brand, but so far so good! i’ve been using their moisturizing gel cream. the best part about this brand is that it’s SUPER affordable and is at target. i can’t tell you how much money i’ve spent on expensive skincare that just didn’t work. their brand is very affordable, but at the same time, the ingredients are incredible. everything is so clean and on top of that, their packaging is on point. i can’t wait to try more from them, but if you’re looking for an affordable and clean moisturizer, i def recommend theirs.
native
i never thought i’d ever say that i found the perfect natural deodorant that actually works, but here we are! i’ve used a few natural deodorants before… but they always left me feelin’ gross. native actually smells good and doesn’t contain harmful stuff like aluminum which is so bad for you. there isn’t a ton i can say about this brand other than i highly recommend them if you’re on the hunt for a natural deodorant that actually works and gets the job done. they also sell toothpaste and body wash too, but i have yet to try them!
fountain of truth
i feel like i’ve talked about this face mask multiple times on this blog, but that’s because it’s my fav. their honey glow mask is out of this world! it doesn’t make me break out and it actually makes my skin feel soooo nourished and hydrated after using. it also smells SO GOOD. like, it genuinely smells like it would taste good. fountain of truth was created by giuliana rancic! her products target fine lines and wrinkles and other skincare concerns. i’ve used a few other products by her brand and thought they were good as well. they are just a bit on the pricier side. i will say though, that the honey glow mask is worth every penny!
the ordinary
i don’t think the ordinary counts as a clean brand, BUT i did want to mention that i’ve been using their hyaluronic acid serum with my moisturizer every day and i am in loooove with it! again, super affordable and super effective. my skin always feels soooo hydrated and plump when i mix it in with my moisturizer. i feel like it also helped calm down any inflammation i have as well. which is a plus! i don’t think the ordinary is considered a clean brand at all. they use a ton of active ingredients, but their pure hyaluronic acid is just bomb! so i really wanted to give it a quick mention because i use it every day.
boom.bam.done
and there you have it! those are 9 of my favorite clean beauty brands! i’m currently testing out a few more as we speak, but i didn’t want to mention them yet, because i haven’t been using them for very long. i’ll keep you updated! if you have any clean brands that you have been using, please share them with me! i’m always on the hunt for new brands to try out and i think it’s just so important to be using brands and products that help you and your skin/body and also the environment if they can. global warming, am i right? ok, i think i’ve written enough! go ahead and shoot me a message below or on instagram if you have any questions and i’ll talk to ya’ll soon!
