la travel guide
i know, it’s been way too long since i’ve done a blog post. but i was SO busy leading up to my trip to LA, and then obv super busy while in LA. but i finally got the chance to finish sorting and editing my photos. i thought i would share a few of the highlights of our trip! this isn’t everything* we did, but it’s most of it. it was an exhausting, but fun trip. i even got to go wedding dress shopping! which you’ll see below. i’m not sure it’s an LA travel guide, but it’s what i did lol
ok, it’s a long post with way too many photos so brace yourselves –
melrose avenue
other than the fact that it was super hot this day and i was hungry and thirsty the entire stroll, it was fun! melrose avenue is filled with so many photo opportunities (as you can see).
hi ignore my underwear ^ obv i don’t know how to be a lady
this was SO good! it was from alfred tea and i have zero regrets. also, that’s the nail color i got when we got our nails done at olive&june (see below).
aka heaven ^
griffith observatory
this had such an incredible view of LA and the hollywood sign! i would have loved to stay for a show at the planetarium, but we didn’t have time. super cool if you’re into starts and planets and the galaxy and all of that cool stuff.
olive & june
officially the CUTEST nail salon ever! it’s in santa monica and was the very first thing we did. like, can they come decorate my apartment please?
venice
i feel like if i was to ever live in LA or visit again, i would spend most of my time in venice! i wish we had more time to spend there, we only had one day, but it was so cute! and filled with interesting people. venice beach was a bit sketchy lol but it had some of the cutest shops and cafes. we had lunch at gjelina and even though it was pricey, it was worth it!
grace loves lace
one of the reasons we went to LA was to go wedding dress shopping! i grabbed my mom and a few bridesmaids and we set sail to grace loves lace. i’ve had my eye on this shop for YEARS! i am so so so so thankful i had the opportunity to go there to find my perfect dress. the experience was soooo amazing! like, i was honestly dreading wedding dress shopping, but my experience at grace loves lace could not have been better.
obv not my dress or shoes ^ 😉
some of my cutie bridesmaids that went on this trip with me! so grateful for them xo
LACMA
did you really go to LA if you didn’t go to see urban light??? also, that scene from no strings attached was stuck in my head the entire time.
the getty
ok this had the coolest view of LA! honestly, i also think we could have spent allllll day in this museum, but it was one of our last stops of the day so we only went to the botanical garden. it’s FREE though and the prettiest! so way worth it.
in n out
i mean, OBVIOUSLY!
the infinity room at the broad
we walked through the entire museum but i was so stoked to go in the infinity room! at first, the wait said we had to wait in line for 4 FRICKEN HOURS. but we stuck around for like 10 minutes and someone working there saw us and people must not have been showing up when it was their turn so they just let us go in. so cool! i wish they would have given us more time in there, we got like 3 minutes, but it was the coolest and also scariest.
ok, that sums up a lot of what we did! honeslty LA is just way too big to conquer in a few days. i hope you enjoyed my photos and i’ll talk to you (?) on next sunday’s post!
xo,
courtney raf
