i really need to get into writing on my blog more as opposed to just photos. the title is “words are for writers” after all. Even if my posts aren’t read by many, it’s always interesting for me to go back and read my old posts. i started my blog i think two years ago, and even in those short two years i’ve changed a lot. which kind of brings me to the point of this post. change. change is a good thing. anyone to tell you otherwise is wrong. change means you’re growing. living. experiencing. i hear far too often “you’ve changed” in a negative tone. it really drives me mad when people talk like that. you’re supposed to change and grow. dye your hair, change your clothes, make friends with different groups of people. do.it.all close minded people are going to tell you that change is bad or they like the “old you”. never apologize because you’re growing. you’re going to do extraordinary things, but not if you limit yourself. i know i sound like a broken record, and maybe i’m just writing this post to convince and motivate myself. regardless, if i haven’t said it enough, keep changing. be confident in who you are and where you’re going.

traveling to vienna, austria
vienna, austria vienna, austria is one of the most beautiful places i have ever been. the architecture was beautiful, the food was incredible, and the people were friendly. i wanted to share with you a few photos from my trip back in 2012. it was my first really big trip and one i will never forget. i’ve been feeling nostalgic lately and really wanting to travel. summer can’t come soon enough so i can go on my next adventure! i thought i’d share a few of my favorite photos from when i studied abroad in austria. hard to believe this was all the way back in 2012 (i think). my trip i stayed in vienna, austria for a little over a month and attended school during the week and traveled to other countries and parts of austria during the weekends. it was my first time out of the country and honestly one of the best experiences i’ve had so far in life. we stopped at all the most incredible places – stephansplatz, schonbrunn palace, st. stephen’s cathedral, belvedere palace, and more! i highly recommend ALL of those places. i mean, the architecture really is unforgettable. we also traveled outside of austria a bit, i’ve shared a few of those photos as well. without further adieu – here’s 19 yr old courtney and photos (unedited) she took on her tiny little old digital camera because not everyone had an iphone. so i bought a spiderman mask at a comic book store (see below) and i photo-bombed a group of older tourists – so when they realized i was behind them, sneaking in their photo, they passed me their bottle of red wine and made me drink it. it was honestly the funniest moment of the trip! stephansplatz – this church though – *amazing! this is the view from the top of the church – it was honestly breath taking. YUM – the crepes were obviously heaven. i could really use one right now… hi – this is 19 yr old me excited to be in front of one of mozart’s old apartments (i think). hello prague! one weekend i headed to prague and it was picture perfect – unlike this blurry photo. but i think it kind of makes it look cool. schonbrunn palace – behind this building was a huuuuge grass area with a few hills used for concerts. we saw the philharmonic and…
