wow, i feel like i haven’t blogged in forever. the last three weeks have been SO busy! it’s nice to have a weekend with zero plans to just clean and hang out with kylo. hello summer! friday was BEAUTIFUL out so we decided to go to the beach! there’s a beach about an hour away from us that allows dogs, so we hit the road with kylo to watch our first beach sunset.. it was actually crazy to see because last time we took him to the beach when it was a bit colder out a few months ago, he was SO scared of the water/waves. he like wouldn’t really go near it. so we figured it would take some time for him to get used to the water again. we were so wrong. literally right when we got there he jumped in the water and ran through it and was jumping around and going crazy. he was sooo excited and so obsessed with the water. it was adorable. if you follow me on instagram, you probably would have seen it in my story. i think i like instagram stories a lot better than snap chat. snap chat seriously drains my battery so much. anyway, it was a really fun night and im so glad we found a beach that is dog friendly. we will def be going back there! blanket from tillys – i think these are just the best kinds of blankets to bring to the beach or camping. i love them! just runnin through the sand – loving life these braids have seriously been in my hair for three days ugh, his love for the beach makes my heart so happy kirsi, if you’re reading this – that earring that is in my ear is yours and ive had it for like 3 years, thanks! how cute is his little face?? dominic found a butterfly! it’s wingers were broken and it was super sad, but they’re so beautiful and there’s kylo trying to eat the butterfly… i live for beach nights like this he’s the WORST to try and get a picture with – especially when there are other dogs/people around. you can’t get him to focus, haha but we tried dominic makes fun of me because he says my face always looks like im mad, but i just can’t help it, that’s what my face looks like.…

this is my second post in my hair series. if you missed my first one, go here. in this post i’m going to go over the process of going from brown hair to the platinum white that i’m at right now. it was sort of a lengthy process – there’s no quick way to do it if you don’t want your hair to fall out. so! let’s start from the beginning. this is how i got platinum white hair – i’m warning you, this may be a really lengthy post. natural hair so this is what my hair looks like naturally – it’s a pretty light soft brown color. in the summer it gets SUPER light. so that’s important to know! there are obv a million different shades of brown hair, but the lighter the shade, the quicker and easier it is to go blonde. you don’t have to cut through so much dark color. these pictures are also super old, like high school. but i haven’t fully had my natural hair color all over since then, so i had to dig up a few oldies. hi jen! 🙂 red hair phase for about 2-3ish years, i started dying my hair super dark. either black or dark brown. it was mostly box dye so it would always fade out after 6 months or so. after i moved back to my hometown, i started working at a hair salon for about a year. so i decided to dye my hair red because, well, why not? haha it was SUPER red (i promise, all of this information is relevant) i’m pretty sure this was back in like 2013? maybe 2014? i can’t remember. back to my roots so i had red hair for about 3 months? it wasn’t very long. but then i decided i wanted to work my way back to my natural hair color. so we dyed it to a dark brown to try and cover up the red. the red would NOT come out of my hair, it was honestly really stressful. so what i did was just stop dying my hair all together – even if that meant my hair had a red tint to it for a while. i didn’t dye my hair for two whole years. all of the red had grown out, except for like the bottom inch or so of my hair. but it…

sunday was the perfect day for an evening walk. it was a pretty lazy day overall (no pun intended), but getting some fresh air is always nice. it’s kylo’s favorite thing to do. although, he never takes his nose up from the ground. when i say he has to sniff *everything, i literally mean everything. lol it’s sooo annoying, but kind of cute at the same time. his barking is getting better! he’s not perfect, but he barks less and less each time we take a walk. he just gets so nervous when there are people around he doesn’t know. especially when they start to pay attention to him. we got some pretty funny pictures of him though – some of my favorites. enjoy! oh – and my overalls and sunglasses are both from h&m. his eyes! he looks a little crazy. hahaha, sometimes he forgets to put his tongue back in his mouth. this is one of my favorites! he legit looks crazy. and his paws are so dirty! you know it’s been a good walk when you come home with dirty paws. this is a very rare sighting of kylo actually posing for a picture.   there you have it! just a few photos from our walk. i’ll be out of town for a wedding this weekend, so i’m not sure i’ll have a post up on sunday night like i usually do, but maybe! it really depends. regardless, i’ll have a post up all about the process of my hair (blog post #2 of my series – if you missed post #1 click here) at some point next week.   thanks for reading xo     courtney raf
