well hello there this week i’ve really been into searching for new apartment decor! if you didn’t already know, we are moving to a new apartment at the beginning of august and i’m really excited. the layout is just so much better than what we have going on now and i cannot wait to get in there and decorate. now, i know all of my inspo below doesn’t exactly coordinate well with each other, but i was on pinterest ok? and you know how it just sucks you in! and suddenly you wish you owned 5 different houses to decorate them all differently because you just can’t decide!! at least that’s how i am.. i wish so badly that our apartment complex let us do wallpaper! i’m loving everything from shop darling – especially this geo print. of course they also have a ton of floral and cactus wallpaper so it’s right up my alley. their wallpaper is also damage free! quartz coasters are SO cute. and etsy is full of them. you can get them pretty cheap too! i would probably never actually use them as real coasters because that’s real life, but they would be very cool to add as decor. now, i know a blue velvet couch/chair is a bit out there, but i think they’re so unique and so trendy. the particular one pictured above was WAY too expensive, but wayfair has a really decent price range. we got our bed frame from wayfair and i love it! so i pinned these mugs a while back on pinterest and i’m still in love with them. i tracked them down and found suzanne sullivan on instagram, so i might have to contact her about mugs/bowls. they’re so unique and would really pop in the kitchen! if you know me (or even just follow me on instagram) you will know how obsessed i am with cacti! i honestly can’t keep them alive though.. like i keep killing them and it’s sad. but how adorable are these little succulent planters from etsy?? i may just have to buy a few fake plants just so i can decorate with these planters. i feel like it’s so typical to say i love adding pops of copper around my apartment because so does everyone else on pinterest/instagram, buttttt i do! i can’t help it. i like more of a copper tone than…

hello, i can’t say enough how happy i am that it’s finally nice out – don’t get me wrong though, i’m still counting down the days until halloween. we took kylo for a walk through the park and we honestly didn’t realize how hot it actually was. it was in the 80’s and for michigan, that’s hot! (i still can’t help but think of paris hilton when i say that). anyway, we found a little area where we could let kylo jump in the water to cool off. it was exactly what he needed! we ended up staying there for quite a while. then we went and ended the evening with ice cream – enjoy a few photos below – his cute little legs! he was OBSESSED with fetching for sticks. he would not get out the water and it was the most adorable. star wrap dress from tillys – i remember shopping here when i was in like high school and for some reason, i’m obsessed with tillys again. me being annoyed that i’m still super white… look how fluffy his little butt is! lol what kind of look is that, kylo? hat from old navy – which i got 50% off so that’s cool ring from target – it also comes in a three pack which was cool do you really live in grand rapids if you don’t have photos in front of this wall? lol   also, good news (well for me) – we’re moving apartments! i’m really excited because it means i can walk to work and save on gas (and miles). i’m also really looking forward to decorating our new place. it has hardwood floors and it’s super open. overall just a way better layout than what we currently have. next week i’m going to write a post all about apartment decor inspo – i’ve been so inspired by pinterest lately (aren’t i always?).   thanks for reading! catch you next week.   xo,     courtney raf
