TODAY IS KYLO’S BIRTHDAY i can’t even believe it!! he’s officially one year old. of course we haven’t had him for a year – only since september – but how crazy. he’s growing up so fast! it makes me sad. but i also love how he’s still a puppy and since we haven’t had him through a summer yet, he still has a lot of “firsts” that i’m excited for. in honor of his first birthday, i thought i would go through all of my photos and post a few of my favorites of him. now i literally had to go through HUNDREDS of photos.. like, i didn’t realize how many i took of him. it’s ridiculous. but i am so so so grateful i did. one of the reasons i started this blog was to document and have these moments to look back on. taking a million photos of kylo and writing all about our lives with him and adventures is something i will always be happy i did. i know i literally sound like he’s my human child, but it’s basically the same thing! now enjoy the cutest photos of this little bug! this is the very first photo i took of him! like literally two seconds after we got him. he was SO sad when his previous owner left him.. it like broke my heart. he wouldn’t even eat the treat we gave him because he was so sad ^ but look how cute his little tongue is! he used to sleep with his tongue sticking out every time, it was adorable. ugh, my heart… hahaha back when we were crate training him, i came home at lunch to let him out and he had chewed his doggy bed! he felt SO guilty and was so scared he was going to get in trouble. it was sweet his blue eye! ugh, gets me every time i can’t get over how tiny he was! this was when he was about 5 months, i think? his first winter was a success! he’s obsessed with the snow. it makes him so hyper and i love it. hahah the excitement on his face! up until about two or three months ago, he was TERRIFIED of the car.. look at his face! just getting a taste of lake michigan. carrots are his fav snack! and his favorite time of the day is…

  hi so what a crazy weekend is has been – mean it’s wednesday so the weekend has been over for a few days but still. one of my very best friends got married! it was such a beautiful day and i could not have been more excited for her. i’ll share the only few pictures i have from that weekend at some point. if you follow me on instagram, you might see them sooner. with the 4th of july coming up, i really wanted to start experimenting with lights and sparklers. if you know me, you know how obsessed i am with them. i think they should be used all year round. seriously! i love sparklers so much! so dominic and i bought a TON and decided to take a few photos. unfortunately that night, it was storming so bad. all of the photos you are about to see were taken in literally a 20 minute span. we had to book it out of there because it was about to pour rain on us. we got a few good shots! but really didn’t have as much time as i would have liked to play with the sparklers and fairy lights. also,  right now i have the worst cold EVER. i’m so bummed about it. i’ve had it for about two days now, so im hoping i start to feel better soon. having a cold during the summer is so annoying.. all i want to do is enjoy the sun but monday i was literally stuck in bed ALL day. i had to even leave work – it was not fun. ok, i’ll stop typing now! enjoy xo   there you have it!   oh also, kylo turns ONE on friday. i can’t even believe it! he’s growing up so stinkin’ fast. you know i’m going to bake him some pup-cakes or something. i have to! he’s just the best. ok, have a wonderful rest of your week.     xo,   courtney raf

happy friday! who is excited it’s finally friday?? i know i am. it’s honestly been the longest week ever. like, so.long. as you’re reading this i’m in the car headed to my hometown for my best friend’s wedding, which is exciting! it will be a long and exhausting weekend, for sure, but worth it. plus, my parents have a huge fenced in back yard for kylo to run around. and i’m pretty sure the weather is supposed to be nice! last saturday, june 10, we decided to take a stroll downtown. there was a food fest going on so we thought it would be fun to check out. we took kylo of course, but decided not to go into the actual festival because he was getting super overwhelmed. he’s getting better at walking in busy places! he rarely barks people anymore, unless they approach him in a slightly aggressive way – but i would bark too if that happened to me lol all in all, it was a great afternoon! the only thing that was missing was ice cream – duh. enjoy! oh hey, just kylo trying to eat the camera i’m actually smiling for once – like what he randomly tried to sit on my lap in the park and it was SO cute! yah i know, my hair is greasy – i feel like i say that in every blog post but i usually take my blog photos on the weekends and i wash my hair on sundays, most of the time, and since i only wash it once a week – you get my hair at it’s worst point. my bad!   there you have it! our saturday walk. this weekend will be pretty busy, but im still hoping to get a blog post up next tuesday or so. i’m going to try and take photos at the wedding this weekend to share, but i ALWAYS forget. im so bad at taking pictures if i don’t make it a point to.   enjoy your weekend.   xo,   courtney raf
