hello i’m back with another blog post! it feels like it’s been forever. here is a cool casual skater look perfect for summer. both the shirt and the shorts are from forever 21! also, game of thrones is back on and that’s pretty exciting. i know i shouldn’t be, but i’m obsessed with white walkers. i just think they are the coolest characters of all time!  so far, this season has been the best one yet, in my opinion. i’m really looking forward to the rest! i’m thinking about doing a blog post either this week or next week all about my hair care. i’ve done a few blog posts here and here and here about it, so i think doing a post about how i keep my hair looking healthy and what products i use to keep the color will be my next post in this series. if you have any questions, message me or comment on the post and i will answer them. for some reason, i could only find my shirt in plus size but it’s on sale! so that’s cool. i feel like that’s everything i had to say. i’m sorry it was so short! enjoy these photos from like two weeks ago     xo,     courtney raf

things to do in marquette, mi

ugh, i can’t believe the weekend is over. how annoying. summer weekends are just so nice! warm weather, hikes, relaxation – the best. i finally got the chance to go through the rest of my photos from our trip to marquette over the long fourth of july weekend. if you missed my previous post full of waterfalls, click here! this trip was honestly a dream for kylo. he got to go hiking, swimming and never slowed down! it was great. if you don’t already know, marquette is one of my favorite places ever. i lived there for a few years while i was going to college, so it’s always so nostalgic when i get to go back and visit. unfortunately, that’s not as often as i would like. the first place we went to was black rocks! not the brewery, but the actual rocks. you can go cliff jumping and it’s really awesome! we didn’t go to the side where you could jump off cliffs because we had kylo. dogs aren’t allowed on presque isle park, so we had to leave him in the car which sucked. so we made that stop short! most everything you do in marquette is dog friendly, except for presque isle park. honestly though, it’s so beautiful. you’re right at the edge of lake superior (my favorite of the great lakes) and it’s so calming. after that we decided it was time to hike sugarloaf mountain! it was SO busy! i mean, i figured it would be busy because of the holiday, but it was almost overwhelming. kylo was super nervous the whole time, i felt bad! regardless, it was still an awesome hike. you cannot beat the view! after our hike, we decided to take a break and chill on the beach. we headed to wetmore beach, which is my favorite one in marquette! it’s rarely busy so it’s super relaxing. there were other dogs there too and kylo wanted to play with them so bad. but he LOVED swimming here. he played fetch for honestly an hour straight in the water. it was great! black rocks lower harbor sugarloaf mountain king of the mountain! this view! lol he was so happy wetmore beach   there you have it! that sums up my crazy one day in marquette. there are SO many exciting things happening over the next few weeks. in two weeks we…

dog days are not over

saturday we hit the road for the dog beach! i mean, would you say no to spending a day with 30+ dogs enjoying a nice day on the beach? it was heaven for a dog person. my friend’s kate and dennis have a cute little corgi named badger. he’s so great! his little legs were the best as he tried to swim and run through the sand. after the beach we grabbed some ice cream – duh! badger even got his own. it was adorable! unfortunately, kylo ended up getting sick 🙁 we think he caught a virus or parasite or something from the lake – which really sucks. he’s doing much better now! but we had a few sleepless nights filled with many bathroom breaks. i felt so bad for him! badger, i think you have something on your nose… kylo def ditched me.. lol dress from windsor action shot! how cute is he?? my new favs – it’s been a hot minute since i bought myself a pair of vans, but they were much needed. this birthday cake ice cream was SO good, like, SO good. belly rubs as usual… hahah he was loving it!   i still have a few photos left to share from our trip to marquette! i’m hoping to get them up this weekend.   thanks for reading xo     courtney raf
