hello sunday what a beautiful fall day it was today! i say that as it’s currently raining outside. but this morning and afternoon were so nice. this week is a blog post that isn’t fall themed (boooooo, i know), but one i’ve been meaning to write for a while. as any girl (woman?) in her 20’s, makeup was/is a huge part of my life. i’ve been wearing it since high school and enjoy getting new products and creating new looks. i’m not even sure how this started, but one day i literally woke up and was like “hey, i don’t feel like putting on makeup today.” today turned into weeks, which turned into months. *hahah between this post and my post about only washing my hair once a week – i sound like i put in zero effort these days. at first, i didn’t notice a huge difference in my skin, routine, or even confidence. as the weeks went on though, i began to see a huge change in myself and my skin’s overall appearance. when i say i stopped wearing makeup for 6 months, what i mean is i stopped routinely wearing it to work and errands, etc. i was in a few weddings over the summer that i wore makeup for and when i shoot blog photos i also put on makeup. but this was a once a week (TOPS) occurrence. when a lot of people say “i don’t wear makeup”, they don’t include mascara because it isn’t on their skin. however, i cut out even mascara! so literally just moisturizer (with spf of course) on my face. SO, here is what happened when i stopped wearing makeup for 6 months. skin tone this was something that took about two months for me to notice, but wow! i naturally have really sensitive skin and my skin also scars super easy after i get a blemish. once i get a zit, it takes FOREVER for the scar to go away. i literally mean weeks, sometimes months. it’s very annoying. my skin’s tone was so uneven because of this. i had tried many many many things to help with scarring, but i never found an actual “cure” or “remedy” to help. my scars heal so fast now and my skin’s overall appearance is SO even and smooth. honestly! i can’t even believe how much my skin has changed since i…

we found the great pumpkin i know this might be crazy, but today i finally went to the pumpkin patch! for the first time EVER. fall is my favorite season so i’m not really sure why it took me so long (25 years) to get to one, but it finally happened. the pumpkin patch did not disappoint! i found the cutest little pumpkin and i’m excited to carve it. ok question, what sort of pumpkin do you look for when you’re picking one out? do you go for the tall skinny ones, or more of the short round ones? i personally love the round ones, but i feel like a ton of people prefer the taller ones. i also love the cute little mini ones! those are probably my favorite. i always go overboard and buy a ton of them for decoration. if you follow me on instagram, i’m sure you’ll see the finished project once i carve this bad boy. i’m super excited! after we found the perfect pumpkins, we got some hot apple cider and donuts! they were SO good. cider is my favorite though, so it never disappoints. my boyfriend when the extra mile and bought a homemade apple pie. i’m usually not a huge fan of apple pie, but this one has carmel drizzled on the top and it looks soooo good. before i get to the photos from today, i wanted to introduce to you my new series on words are for writers: friday favorites every friday i will be sharing with you my weekly favorite songs, tv shows/youtube videos, bloggers, pinterest pins, AND MORE. these favorites will be delivered to you via email! hello sunday last weekend we went to a cider mill! they have some nice trails in the woods to take kylo on a walk and of course so many apple trees! all i wanted that day was some hot apple cider – it’s my fav. it was really busy for a sunday afternoon, so the line was about a 30 minute wait. we tried to stay in line as long as possible, but kylo could not sit still. so unfortunately, i didn’t get the cider i wanted. going to a cider mill is one of the things on my bucket list this fall. i’m pretty sure it’s probably on everyone’s, but im legit just addicted to apple cider. here are a few other things on my fall bucket list: go to a pumpkin patch carve my pumpkin from the pumpkin patch make caramel apples halloween movie marathon have a halloween party these are super basic things to do in the fall but they’re my favorite! i’ve actually never been to a pumpkin patch. i usually just buy my pumpkins are the grocery store. THIS YEAR THOUGH, i’m going! what’s on your fall bucket list? does anyone have any other fall traditions that might be different than most? i always wonder about those things! life update this weekend was incredibly busy! i had the honor of being in one of my best friend’s wedding and my parents were in town visiting! it was so so nice, but i am exhausted. i haven’t had this lazy of a day in months. i pretty much cuddled kylo ALL day. i only left to go to the dog park with him for some exercise. other than that, we took a nap and were super lazy. i had so many plans like making my halloween costume and cleaning up my apartment, but i really needed to just hang out and chill today. i watched the addams family to get into the fall spirit and im just really pleased with how relaxing today was. i’m planning to make my halloween costume next weekend and i cannot wait to share it with you! making my halloween costume is one of my favorite parts about october. it’s WAY more fun to make them than it is to buy them. and generally, it’s cheaper too. this year dominic and i are actually doing a “couples costume”. we’ve never done…
