hello. i’m not sure if it’s the weather change or the fact that i basically ate chocolate every single day in october, but my skin has not been the best. i’ve been breaking out pretty bad lately. i thought this would be the perfect time to share some skin care tips to help keep your skin clear! kind of ironic since i’m breaking out. but for the last 6 months my skin has been the clearest since like 7th grade. seriously. of course things like drinking a lot of water and eating healthy are great skin care tips, but i wanted to share with you a few random and weird tips that i’ve learned over the years. i’m not saying these tips will work for everyone, because we all have different skin situations going on, but these have been super helpful for me! wash your pillowcase i know that it’s common sense to wash your pillowcase when you wash your sheets once a week or whenever, but if you have sensitive skin or suffer from oil and breakouts, you may want to consider changing or washing your pillowcase more frequently. i wash my pillowcases generally once a week, but i find myself making sure i rotate my pillow or change the pillowcase entirely once or twice during that week. it’s really important to change your pillowcase regularly so all of that oil and dirt isnt being pushed back into your freshly cleansed skin each night! wash your face last this is SO RANDOM. i know. i read it online like a few years ago and decided to try it out. it makes total sense when you think about it, BUT after you are done washing your hair and body and whatever in the shower, wash your face LAST. again, if you have sensitive skin, this is probably more for you. the reason behind this, is that the soap from washing your hair can obviously run onto your face. if the soap from your hair is the last thing to touch your face, this can cause you to break out. i always make sure to wash my fast last so that i can also make sure i’m cleansing and washing off all of the shampoo and body wash from my face. those can easily clog your pores! anyway, give it a try! it has made a difference to my very sensitive…

hello sunday this weekend has been SO rainy, but i kind of enjoyed it. it meant i got to bring out the fall sweaters and hats! which are my fav thing about the fall (besides apple cider). this week i’m sharing two of my favorite fall staples and they’re very affordable! who doesn’t love affordable fall fashion? as anyone, i typically love new fashion trends each season. however, they can be pretty pricey and most trends don’t last longer than a year. i always have trouble spending money on “trendy” items i know won’t get me a few years of use. i usually try to stick to my basics – jeans, plain tee’s, sweaters, etc. h&m is one of my favorite places to shop. not only do they carry the latest in fashion, but its AFFORDABLE. don’t get me wrong, i love following fashion bloggers who wear high end brands and model the latest and greatest. however, that’s just not reasonable for me. especially if i know i won’t be wearing something a little more out there and little more trendy for long. i feel comfortable knowing i’m not breaking my bank by getting a “knock off” version at stores like h&m. anyway! enough of that rant. my point is: i’m always obsessed with h&m. they’re in style, affordable, and really amazing quality. affordable fall fashion below are two of my absolute staples each fall/winter – sweaters and hats. my head is SUPER small.. lol so when i can find a hat that fits my head even a little bit, i have to buy it. i would wear hats all the time if i could find enough to fit me. i won’t lie, sometimes i have to go to the kids section to find hats that will fit.. it’s terrible. both my sweater and hat are from h&m – enjoy! how cute are those photos with kylo? i just love him so much! he even has his own instagram account! who else has binge watched stranger things?! i’ve already seen the second season twice.. i’m addicted! i don’t know if i can wait another whole year for season three. season two was just SO good. let me know if you watch that show in the comments! i’d love to hear what you thought about it. ok, i think that’s going to bit it for this blog post. i hope…

what a busy (but fun) weekend! yesterday i celebrated halloween by dressing up and having a few friends over! if you follow me on instagram, you would have seen my costume this year. it was SO fun! i loved making it and getting dominic to dress up with me too was the best. this week’s blog post is one about blogging! there’s a ton of misconceptions about bloggers and blogging in general. i’m constantly getting questions from friends and family about what it is i’m actually doing with my time lol blogging is easy and isn’t a job this is so far from the truth! a lot of people who don’t blog or don’t really understand blogging, don’t realize the amount of time and work it takes to get one single blog post up. between finding time to shoot photos, editing them, and then finding time to write an actual post, it can take days to get one post for the week together. after you get that one single post up, you have to make sure you are keeping up to date with your social media accounts, interacting with other blogs/bloggers, analyzing your traffic/data to better your blog, and so much more! there is so much you do not see behind one post. a lot of people also don’t realize that blogging IS a job and you CAN make money. this doesn’t happen over night though. most bloggers who are blogging as their sole income, have been working day and night to get to where they are. bloggers have a ton of spare time bloggers are probably some of the busiest people i know. i know i literally just said that blogging is a full time job and you can make a living from it, but that doesn’t mean that everyone is. most bloggers that i know have full time jobs, families, etc. and blog on the side. bloggers will stay up late to get a post done, multi-task by working on their blog as they are tackling house work/errands, and more. these busy bloggers have some of the best blogs out there. they’re not blogging because it’s their main source of income, they’re blogging because they love it! when i come home from work, sometimes the last thing i want to do is open up my laptop and work on my blog after i have been on the…
