well hello there

this week i’ve really been into searching for new apartment decor! if you didn’t already know, we are moving to a new apartment at the beginning of august and i’m really excited. the layout is just so much better than what we have going on now and i cannot wait to get in there and decorate. now, i know all of my inspo below doesn’t exactly coordinate well with each other, but i was on pinterest ok? and you know how it just sucks you in! and suddenly you wish you owned 5 different houses to decorate them all differently because you just can’t decide!! at least that’s how i am..

1. i wish so badly that our apartment complex let us do wallpaper! i’m loving everything from shop darling – especially this geo print. of course they also have a ton of floral and cactus wallpaper so it’s right up my alley. their wallpaper is also damage free!
2. quartz coasters are SO cute. and etsy is full of them. you can get them pretty cheap too! i would probably never actually use them as real coasters because that’s real life, but they would be very cool to add as decor.
3. now, i know a blue velvet couch/chair is a bit out there, but i think they’re so unique and so trendy. the particular one pictured above was WAY too expensive, but wayfair has a really decent price range. we got our bed frame from wayfair and i love it!
4. so i pinned these mugs a while back on pinterest and i’m still in love with them. i tracked them down and found suzanne sullivan on instagram, so i might have to contact her about mugs/bowls. they’re so unique and would really pop in the kitchen!
5. if you know me (or even just follow me on instagram) you will know how obsessed i am with cacti! i honestly can’t keep them alive though.. like i keep killing them and it’s sad. but how adorable are these little succulent planters from etsy?? i may just have to buy a few fake plants just so i can decorate with these planters.
6. i feel like it’s so typical to say i love adding pops of copper around my apartment because so does everyone else on pinterest/instagram, buttttt i do! i can’t help it. i like more of a copper tone than a rose gold tone – even though they’re basically the same thing. i found these from houzz and i’m sure you can find them even cheaper in other places. i saw a few similar ones when i was in ikea once. regardless, i love the geo shape mixed with the copper!
7. let’s count how many times i say “love” BUT i really do love these types of rugs. the new apartment we are moving into in august has hardwood floors and im super excited about it. so i’ve been looking for patterned rugs like the one above because the rest of our apartment decor is actually pretty plain. i think something like this will give the room some color. this one is from wayfair (again) and is a bit on the pricey side, but wayfair usually has really good sales (like right now) so maybe i’ll snag it when the price drops even further.

also, a huge shout out to my dearest friend andrea from cedar and swell! hit this babe up if you need any branding or the cutest wall hangings. she’s so amazing to work with and can – nay, WILL,  spice up your life!

Another few things i’m loving at the moment for apartment decor are bar carts and faux animal skull decor – wow, that sounds so morbid (even for me). this photo is from pinterest but i’m loving (the word love again) the aesthetic. bar carts are also really expensive, so i’m hoping to diy one this summer! of course i’ll do a blog post if i do.
