ariana grande yellow hoodie diy halloween costume it’s been a while! but i’m back with another halloween diy. as you know, halloween is my favorite. (megan fox from jennifer’s body, cheryl blossom, lola bunny ) normally i put a lot of effort into making my costumes from scratch, but this year i was just too busy. i’ve always wanted to be ariana grande for halloween so i thought i’d do one of her simple, yet iconic, outfits! i actually found this entire outfit from poshmark. i love sustainability and what poshmark stands for! i try my hardest not to buy new clothing items unless i need to – so i didn’t want halloween to be any different. H O O D I E the hoodie she is actually wearing retails for $185! which, honestly isn’t too bad considering she could afford a $185k hoodie. it’s linked here -> HOODIE <- i didn’t want to spend $185 on a hoodie so i thought i would browse poshmark and i ended up finding the exact hoodie for under $100! i think it was around $80, which is pricey, but still not $185. to make this costume even cheaper, you could easily thrift a yellow hoodie and use some fabric paint to create the same design. although i don’t recommend wearing it for any other night besides halloween – you don’t want to rip off an artist’s designs. HOWEVER, for one night as a costume is totally acceptable. B O O T S my boots were also from poshmark, of course! i got them for literally like $14! i just typed in “taupe knee-high boots” and they had a TON to choose from. B A G i can’t afford a LV bag, as most can’t haha, but michael kors has similar colors for some of their bags. i grabbed this crossbody michael kors bag from poshmark for like $20! such a steal. all together my costume cost around $115 – but you could totally spend less than $50 if you decide to thrift a yellow hoodie and diy it with some black fabric paint! it’s totally doable. there you have it! a super simple costume but also super comfy (and warm). follow me on pinterest and instagram for more! and let me know what other halloween costumes you want me to diy in the comments. xo, courtney raf

BUT it’s just soooo bad for the environment and our wallets, let’s be real. did you know that fashion (especially fast fashion) is the 2nd most polluting industry in the world? am i guilty of buying fast fashion and new clothes? yes. will i do it again in the future? yes. but i wanted to make more of a conscious effort to thrift and use secondhand more. there’s really no excuse not to! it’s cheaper and is much better on the environment. which brings me to my first instagram reel! i took these 4 viral pinterest outfit pins and recreated them using only secondhand clothes from poshmark! it was honestly so fun and i will definitely be doing it again. the details are below! i’ve included screenshots from my instagram reel for reference but you can check out the entire reel below. outfit one 1. outfit number one is probably my fav! i got this superrrr cute michael kors dress for $25 and it’s normally $175! i already owned the brown belt, which was great. overall tho – i thought i nailed it. outfit two 2.outfit number two is sooo comfy. this pretty little thing top is normally $25 and i got it for $12. these rebecca minkoff pants were a DEAL. they did have to be altered because i’m so small, but i paid $45 when they’re normally $198. outfit three 3.outfit three will one day be super cute! the pants are super big on me, but i’m going to go get them altered so they fit better. but everything here was under $20 which is a bargain. outfit four 4.the last outfit was the HARDEST to find. i wish so badly i could have found a teal dress like that, but this black one…
